Sikandar Raza becomes the new number 1-ranked ODI all-rounder in the world

Zimbabwe Cricket Team all-rounder Sikandar Raza has achieved a massive feat in International cricket. He became the number one-ranked all-rounder in the ODIs, replacing Afghanistan star Azmatullah Omarzai at the top of the ICC rankings. 

Sikandar Raza achieved the feat after his heroics with the bat and ball during the ODI series against Zimbabwe. The all-rounder slammed two half-centuries in the series and also returned with the figures of 1/48 (10) in the first ODI of the three-match series. 

Thanks to his heroics in the series against Sri Lanka, Sikandar Raza moved past Afghan pair Mohammad Nabi (292 points) and Azmatullah Omarzai (296) to a rating of 302. Also, he moved up nine spots to 22nd in the ODI Batting Rankings. 

Apart from Sikandar Raza, Sri Lankan batter Pathum Nissanka made a massive rise. After he slammed a century and a half-century in the series, he moved to seventh spot to 13th (654 points). Also, Janith Liyanage (up 13 spots to 29th) made a substantial gain. 

In the ICC Rankings of bowling in the ODIs, Keshav Maharaj extended his lead at the top. He picked up a four-wicket haul in the first game against England. Also, Lungi Ngidi moved up five spots to equal 23rd, while Jofra Archer climbed into the top 20 (19th, 571 ranking points) despite the defeat. 

Mohammad Nabi, who moved to second spot in the ICC rankings for all-rounder in ODIs, is eyeing the number one rank in the T20I rankings. During the series against the UAE, he picked four wickets in three matches across the week in Sharjah. 

Ibrahim Zadran made gains in the ICC rankings for T20I batters. He moved up 12 spots to 20th, thanks to scores of 63 (40) and 65 (45), while Pakistan’s Sufiyan Muqeem moved 11 spots up to 22nd in the T20I Bowling Rankings.
