In return, Google likely offered the cloud providers…

Investment banks like Goldman Sachs Corp. have already downgraded growth projections to as low as 6.5%. The RBI’s bullishness is underpinned by its view that rural spending is improving and…

Electric family cars in this £40,000-£60,000 price range have been blurring the lines between more traditional bodystyles and SUVs for a while now. Even those for which a sleeker, lower profile might have been preferred have had to accommodate an underfloor drive battery that displaces the cabin – and consequently, the car’s whole body profile – upwards by so many inches. But the Nissan Ariya is pretty plainly in the EV class’s high and handsome club. Most owners will slide sideways onto the reasonably high-mounted driver’s seat and, even with that seat adjusted at its lowest, then sit bent-legged and…

In IaaS, rapid provisioning of virtual resources enables teams to quickly deploy them, often leading to unused or mismanaged infrastructure. Causes of cloud sprawl There are many reasons that cloud sprawl…

One way to look at how problematic this is would be to think in terms of a carbon budget. We can estimate how much carbon can be put into the atmosphere before warming reaches 1.5° C. Subtract the emissions we’ve already added, and you get the remaining budget. At this point, the remaining budget for 1.5° C is only 200 Gigatonnes, which means another four years like 2023 will leave us well beyond our budget. For the 2° C budget, we’ve got less than 20 years like 2023 before we go past. An alternate way to look at the challenge…
