Shubman Gill opened the innings for India after they were set a target of just 58 runs. While Abhishek Sharma stole the limelight with his fireworks, Gill, at the other end, went under the radar, but he played a magnificent innings as well that helped India win the match.
Shubman Gill hit some glorious shots during his stay at the crease, but one shot that caught the attention of many was the six that he hit against UAE fast bowler Muhammad Rohid Khan. It came on the last ball of the second over and made almost everyone stand and applaud him for his heroics.
Muhammad Rohid Khan bowled a length delivery on the pads, to which Shubman Gill came down the track and played an emphatic flick off the pads. The ball flew away over deep square-leg as the Indian vice-captain oozed his class with a proper timed shot.

Shubman Gill played a vital hand of unbeaten 20 runs off just 9 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 222.2 and slammed two fours and one six. He added 48 runs in a partnership with Abhishek Sharma, who scored 30 runs off 15 balls, helping India chase the target with nine wickets in hand and inside five overs.
Earlier, India won the toss and opted to field first. They had a sensational outing with the ball as they bundled out the opposition for just 57 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 4/7, while Shivam Dube also bagged a three-wicket haul to help his team restrict the batting side to a low total.
India, with the win, are now at the top of the points table of Group A. They will next be seen in action when they take on Pakistan on 14th September. The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
